●Tokoname

The city has tasteful view and can teach you the culture of pottery in Japan.

Here is known as a city of pottery and famous of Tokoname ware, which is one of the six old kiln in Japan, such as Shigaraki ware, Imari ware and so on. And Chubu International Airport (Centrair), the air gateway of  Tokai is here.

●Tokoname Maneki Neko Street

It is on the way from the Tokoname Station to the Pottery Path. So many Maneki Nekos made of ceramic are placed here. Tokoname is the top of Maneki Neko producing area. There are many cute and close to real Maneki Nekos. They were made by a number of 39 artists.

Tokoname is the city with atmosphere in the Chita Peninsula of Aichi. I think it is valuable spot to visit once when you have a chance to travel to Aichi.
